Harry Potter Money Exchange Rates
Wizard World is Affordable
The Australian Dollar has remained firm against the Knut, says the currency experts who have calculated the value of wizard money used in Harry Potter Novels.
Currency exchange centre Travlex has set a rate of 4 bronze Knuts to the Australian Dollar. The silver Sickle is worth 75AuC(aussie cents), while the gold galleon remains strong at $12.50.
The conversion rate makes Harry Potter's fictional world surprisingly affordable.
School fees at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft And Wizardry equal $3800, while basic items needed by a wizard cost $3886. These include a seven Galleon wand worth $87.57 and a $100 Black Cat.
Note that these exchange rates are for AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS. That would mean that it would be very cheap if you were and American.
